HONG KONG UNIVERSITY
The University of Hong Kong is the territory’s oldest institute of higher learning and also an internationally recognized, research-led, comprehensive university.  Exchange students take classes in English and can learn Mandarin or Cantonese. Professors come from all over the world, from over 40 different countries. The campus has fitness centers, swimming pools, computer centers, numerous student societies and interest clubs, and a variety of other things that support student life and learning.
Hong Kong University is an exchange partner, which means students pay Winona State University tuition and the host university’s room and board. Acceptance under the exchange may depend on the balance of incoming and outgoing students.

LOCATION
Hong Kong University is located in Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong. Officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China which is a special administrative region on the eastern side of the Pearl River estuary in southern China. With over 7.4 million people of various nationalities in a 426 sq mi territory, Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places in the world.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/PREREQUISITES
  • The student has undertaken a minimum of one-year university level study by the time they begin their exchange studies at HKU.
  • Both native and non-native English Speakers must provide valid and acceptable English Proficiency Proof
  • GPA of 3.0 for Business & Economics
