Mary O. Graham Study Abroad Travel Award
(Must be a Spanish major or minor to apply)

Mary O. Graham was a graduate of Winona Normal School, now Winona State University, who traveled to Argentina in the 1880s to help direct a teachers’ college in San Juan, Argentina. She lived the rest of her life in Argentina, and today two normal schools (teacher colleges) in Argentina are named after her, one in San Juan and the other in La Plata. In the spirit of Mary O. Graham’s leadership and service abroad, the Spanish program of Global Studies & World Languages offers travel awards for Spanish majors/minors studying abroad.

Qualifications:
  • Spanish major or minor
  • Participating in an approved WSU study abroad in the term for which you are applying

Deadlines:
For Summer and Fall Study Abroad - March 1
For Spring Study Abroad - October 1

Awardees will be notified by the 22nd of the month and will have three days to confirm acceptance.
