HEBEI UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (HUT)
Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) is a key provincial university as well as one of the national universities under "Project 211". It is also an important university under the authority of Hebei province which specializes in engineering studies and combines multiple academic areas including technology, science, economics, management, and arts. It was founded in 1903 and was originally known as Beiyang Technical School. HUT is located in Tianjin, China’s third-largest city and is located approximately 90 minutes from Beijing. HUT has over 25,000 highly qualified students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The program for WSU students aims to introduce students to the Chinese language, culture, society, international business and history.

LOCATION

As one of the four municipalities directly under the central government in China, Tianjin is an economic center of North China, an international port city, and an ecological city. Located at the center of the Bohai economic rim, it is the largest coastal open city in North China, a cradle of modern industry, the coastal city that opened up earliest in modern times, and a center of shipment and industry in North China. 
 
The downtown area of Tianjin is 137km from Beijing, and it takes only 30 minutes to travel from Tianjin to Beijing by inter-city train. Tianjin is also known as a portal of Beijing, the capital of China.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/PREREQUISITES 
Chinese Visa for Overseas Students. (an application will be sent to admitted students)

The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen holding a valid passport issued by a foreign country.
The applicant must be healthy, have good conduct, and abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China as well as the rules and regulations of the University.

ACCOMMODATION
Applications for accommodation should be made to the university before coming to China. 
There are many kinds of dormitories in universities, and the prices differ from each other due to the furniture and facilities. International students should apply before arriving in China. Students can live off-campus with the permission of the university but should register at the local public security office within 24 hours upon arrival.
