The University of Deusto is located in the beautiful city of Bilbao, Spain.  The University of Deusto is a Spanish private university owned by the Society of Jesus, with campuses in Bilbao and San Sebastián and is the oldest private university in Spain.  Students with an advanced level of Spanish may participate in this program as an exchange.  Students below 300 level may attend a Spanish intensive language program, CIDE, with a separate pricing structure.  Coursework through CIDE is offered in English and Spanish.

Deusto is an exchange partner, which means students pay Winona State University tuition and the host university’s room and board. Acceptance under the exchange may depend on the balance of incoming and outgoing students. Students who do not have a 300 level proficiency in Spanish enroll in the CIDE Intensive Language program available at various levels, and pay fees accordingly.

Bilbao, an industrial port city in northern Spain, is surrounded by green mountains. It’s the de facto capital of Basque Country, with a skyscraper-filled downtown. The city has an estimated population of 345,821.

To participate as an exchange program, students must be at an advanced level of Spanish and able to integrate into classes with locals.  A language intensive program, CIDE, is available for students less than the advanced level at a separate pricing structure.
